I'm Johan. I like making complicated things simple.

I build straightforward software to help small businesses spend less time on admin and more time getting on with the job.

I start with the problem, not a sales pitch.

Most business owners don't want another piece of technology to figure out. They want the paperwork to stop piling up, the jobs to be easier to track and their team to know what's going on.

That's the sort of thing I like helping with. I'll talk to the people doing the work, understand what's getting in their way, and build the simplest software that fixes it.

I've already built a quality assurance and approval platform for an established business, used every day by staff across the company. It replaced a software subscription costing around $20,000 (NZD) a year. I've also built tools to bring paper-based maintenance checks online.

A BIT OF BACKGROUND

People first. Technology second.

I studied Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics at the University of Amsterdam. That mix taught me to understand people and how systems work together, which turns out to be pretty useful when building software for busy teams.

I use modern tools, including AI-assisted coding, to build efficiently, and I keep every project small and focused on one problem. That's how I can offer custom software at small-business prices, without the overhead of a big IT project. You don't need to know anything about AI to use the result.

I work remotely, by email and video call, so it doesn't matter where your business is based. I speak English and German natively, with basic Dutch, Spanish and Russian.
